UN-”TOMATORY” SOUPS
Q. Thanks for the soup recommendations, BSJ, “Yummmmmmmmmm!!! But, could you give a goooood soup recipe for those of us who suffer from acid reflux and should not and cannot have "tomatory" foods?” L.E.
A. Isn't a 'mater in any of these soup recipes on these links on the site: The Moroccan soup cum dip called Bessara, for Pho made with turkey or chicken broth, Zuppa Pavese (photo above), a killer ‘zuppa’ from Italy, or something like it called Stracciatella that’s so easy a kid can make it. Check out this kid’s recipe for My Mom’s Cream of Mushroom Soup. I developed this recipe for Sopa de Pan to stretch any roast turkey dinner (that includes stuffing). From the French Pyrénées, there’s Garbure; from Paris, French Onion Soup; from Asia, Un-Dorm Room Ramen; from U.K.-ish U.S.A., Scotch-Irish Broth; and from Mexico, Posole. Even more: Chicken Soup 5 Ways.
L.E., did you know that the word “restaurant” derives from the French history of “soup”? And, for even more soup recipes, you also can do a search on the site’s home page for “soup,” just like this.
